EC 1.3.1.52

Accepted name: 2-methyl-branched-chain-enoyl-CoA reductase

Reaction: 2-methylbutanoyl-CoA + NAD+ = 2-methylcrotonoyl-CoA + NADH + H+

Systematic name: 2-methyl-branched-chain-acyl-CoA:NAD+ 2-oxidoreductase

Comments: A flavoprotein (FAD) from Ascaris suum. The reaction proceeds only in the presence of another flavoprotein ('electron-transferring flavoprotein').
