Comments: The eukaryotic enzyme catalyses methylation of cytosine38 in the anti-codon loop of tRNAAsp(GTC), tRNAVal(AAC) and tRNAGly(GCC). Methylation by Dnmt2 protects tRNAs against stress-induced cleavage by ribonuclease .
