Comments: A pyridoxal-phosphate protein. Also catalyses formyl transfer from 5-formyltetrahydrofolate to L-glutamate (a reaction formerly listed as EC 18.104.22.168). In eukaryotes, it occurs as a bifunctional enzyme that also has formimidoyltetrahydrofolate cyclodeaminase (EC 22.214.171.124) activity.
