Comments: A 190 kDa enzyme found in several pathogenic species of Streptococcus such as sanguis and pneumoniae. Type example of peptidase family M26. There is also an IgA-specific prolyl endopeptidase of the serine-type (see EC 220.127.116.11, IgA-specific serine endopeptidase).
